Dear Friends,
I hope this note finds you well. I write to you today because many of you have, at one point or another, expressed an interest in partnering with David and Lynn Buschman as they seek to raise funds in support of Busch’s ministry at Princeton.

As most of you know, the mission agency that has been supporting Busch through much of his time at Princeton (NAMB) has eliminated funding for campus ministry in order to pursue a singularly focused church-planting model. While this dramatic shift brings with it an obvious set of challenges and frustrations, Busch remains wholeheartedly committed to ministry at Princeton and God continues to bless his efforts in that regard. I have been amazed at the calmness and faithfulness that Busch has displayed since receiving this news, and I have great confidence that God has great plans for Busch’s continued work at Princeton.

Most of you are familiar with Busch’s dual role on campus as Baptist Chaplain and Director of Athletes in Action, so rather than go into explanatory details, I will simply say that I believe Busch has really found his “sweet spot” in ministry. The two roles allow him the opportunity to leverage some of his greatest strengths and personal interests while simultaneously putting him in position to play a critical role in the broader Princeton Christian community – that of connector. He has always been a strong relationship builder, able to connect seemingly disparate people and ministries. With the dual roles, he has become an even stronger link between chaplaincies, evangelical groups, ad hoc sports team Bible studies, and even the Office of Religious Life. Through this, his impact can be felt at both the individual and the community level.

Busch has been a huge blessing in my life – a great friend and mentor – and so it gives me great pleasure to write to you on his behalf. I am asking you to consider partnering with Busch as a financial donor on an ongoing basis. If you are interested and willing, please consider giving today. The need is both significant and immediate, and with each passing day the challenge becomes greater. If you are still considering whether God might be stirring you to give, please do pray about it and feel free to call or email me any time.

It’s as easy as the click of a button – this is an investment in a great ministry on a great campus that is sure to have long lasting and far reaching impact. Please also consider spreading the word to any friends, classmates, parents, etc that might be willing and able to give. Thanks for your prayer and consideration.

Many blessings,

Erik
